New GDPR Regulations

New GDPR regulations are coming into operation on 25th May 2018.   This is across the EU and is to protect individuals from having their personal information which may be stored for one purpose, being forwarded to another user for a different purpose.   You now have to opt in for us to be able to store and use your information to contact you.

You may be assured that take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your SYMC offertories, donations and/or provide other relevant information and/or support that you might reasonably expect from us.  We will only use details that you have given us and not collect further information about you from third party organisations. We will only retain your information for the duration of your attendance and then only use it if you request that we continue to send you information after that time. We will not pass or share your information with any third party, contractor or agency unless required by law.

Personal information you give us is held securely by SYMC.  Access to this information is restricted to officers of SYMC in order to undertake their roles.  In return for your support we will update you primarily by the SYMC Newsletter and Weekly Notices to keep you informed about news and the work of SYMC, the Circuit, the District and the Methodist Church Connexion as well as advise how your support is being used.  In addition from time to time we would like to contact you with details of associated promotions, relevant events and/or information that we consider may be of interest to you.

Some of you have already been contacted via email with both details of this information and also with a GDPR Privacy Notice Return Form  ‘Permission to Keep in Touch’.   If you have not, or do not have an email address, then we have hard copies which will be given to you to complete and return to Keg.

Please note that without your reply we will no longer be able to communicate with you after 25th May 2018.
