Local arrangement Spring 2025
We will be assigned a Local Arrangement in the next Circuit Plan and we shall be focusing on the Leprosy Mission during that service. We shall hear of one little girl’s plight and how she was forced from home, her family turning their backs on her because of the stigma and fear once she was diagnosed with leprosy, even today as a grown woman with a family of her own, no one will give her a job because her hands are disfigured as a result of the leprosy she suffered as a child.
In Revelation 21:3 God reveals through John, the promise of making all things new. John wrote this to encourage the churches who were suffering severe oppression from Roman rule. John’s vision of a new heaven and new earth was not just a distant hope but a powerful message of encouragement to those who were weary, worn out and hopeless. This vision portrays a world where God will make all things new, where suffering, pain and even death will be no more. It is a reminder that no matter how dark and difficult the present may seem, God’s promise of renewal and restoration is sure.
Can you believe that only £24 provides enough medication to completely heal a person of leprosy? That is amazing! £24 can completely change a person’s life, giving them hope again, independence to earn a living, allowing them to remain in the family unit and continue living without fear or stigma.
We shall have a retiring collection at the end of that service should you be led to donate to this incredible charity. So watch out for the date!!
