Sunday 8th November 2026 – Remembrance Day and Love Remembered Service
As we have done the last two years, we will NOT be having a morning service on
Sunday 8th November but instead will have a ‘Love Remembered’ service at 3pm
to be followed by refreshments.
This allows those who wish to do so to attend the Sandhurst Remembrance
Service at 10.45am at Sandhurst Memorial Park or perhaps to watch the televised service from The Cenotaph.
Our afternoon ‘Love Remembered’ service is an opportunity to remember those
loved ones who are no longer with us. We will read out their names and light
candles in their memory. There will also be a Liturgy of Remembrance during the service. It is a simple but moving act of worship, about 45 minutes in length. Invitations will be sent to all those who have lost loved ones in the last few years, but anyone is welcome to attend.
On arrival you will be given a card on which to write the name of the person(s) you wish to be remembered and then, when their name is read out are invited to come forward to light a candle for them.
If you are unable to make the service but would still like a name read out, then please let Sharon know before the day and that can be done.
