Christian Aid week 2025
An envelope collection was organised in our Church and £318 was raised. With Gift Aid declarations, another £60 can be claimed from the Government by Christian Aid.
This was a significant increase to last year when £121 was collected. So many thanks to all those who donated. Also, thanks to those who gave on-line.
Their contributions can’t be identified by Church so can’t be included in our total, but they all count to the overall Christian Aid Week numbers.
Our Governments, both Labour and Conservative, have cut International Aid in the past few years. Hopefully our generosity will help cover a little of these cuts. Above all, it shows a generosity of spirit to assist those in dire need. A spirit our politicians should ignore at their peril.
