Feeding hungry children over half term

High Cross Church in Camberley are helping out!

This is from their Facebook page (just search for High Cross Church, or useĀ www.facebook.com/HighCrossChurch) :

In response to the government’s decision not to help feed kids over half term High Cross Cafe and High Cross Church have decided to help in our own little way.
From Monday 26th October until Friday 30th October between 12noon and 2pm, we will be offering a free simple hot meal to any child that would normally be entitled to a free school meal. No need to book, just come along with proof of eligibility.
If you wish to make a donation (cash, cheque or card) this can also be done at the cafe between 10am-2pm each day. Or via Just Giving: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/HXheartofcommunity
Any food donations for these meals can also be dropped off between 10am-2pm each day. Any excess food donations will be passed to Besom The Camberley Foodbank. (Dry goods: pasta, rice, biscuits, snacks. Tinned goods: tomatoes, beans, veg. Fresh: veg, fruit. The list is endless, but anything that Colin can use to create a lovely hot meal. He is very creative). Any excess cash donations will be passed to local charities.
No child should be going hungry no matter what the circumstances are. We hope that this incentive will help the most vulnerable in our community. Please do like and share this post so we can get the word out to as many vulnerable families as possible.
If you would like to help out – then you know what to do!
Thanks
