Well, the church I belong to has stopped publishing, and ‘we’ await a new minister this new Methodist year – Rev Nick Oboriki who use to be a member of the Aldershot/Farnborough/Camberley circuit team. I think someone thought I could spread my literary wings as I feel I’m almost part of your fringe benefits!
How will I remember this summer’s embers?
August so hot with scarcely a breeze!
I’ve spent much of the season nesting
Either in hospital or back home at ease!
Still I am managing daily to break into song
Praising God, thanking well-wishers, all whom I treasure
Friends who have helped with shopping till I’m strong
It’s now that I realise such giving beyond measure!
