If you can, please pause and pray for 5 minutes at this time. In what is traditionally harvest festival season, let us pray for those who supply us with food and other ‘essentials’:
farmers and suppliers, caterers and shop workers, food banks.
We recall with thanks, God’s word in Genesis 8:22:
“As long as the earth endures, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, will never cease.”
Our prayers might include:
God our Father, Thank you for the provision you have made for us in food drink and so much more. Bless those who work to produce such goods for us. Bless those who transport them and those who serve in shops and with deliveries.
For all who serve our community in these ways, may they have fair reward for the work they do. May we treat them with respect and appreciation. May they find fulfilment in serving others.
