Action for Children Walk June 2025
On a cool, but pleasant Friday morning in late June ,five members of SYMC met to do our sponsored walk around Virginia Water. It is a circuit of some four and a half miles in total. This was all in aid of the charity Action for Children.
Some of us bought a coffee to energise us for the start of the walk, whilst others of us decided an ice cream part way round was a better bet.
Although the lake contained plenty of water the cascade was totally dry ,and there was lots of evidence of the hot scorching weather affecting the trees and plants. However towards the end of the walk we spotted a bright display along a walkway of both red and blue hydrangeas, that must have had some shelter as they were not wilting or droopy.
After our walk we all sat down and had a delightful picnic that we had brought along ,to replenish ourselves and then we returned home .
