This year Sandhurst Churches Together have obtained permission to have a stall at the Meadows on Good Friday. The Silver Band will be playing an assortment of traditional Easter Hymns and we shall have readings and prayers. This service will last an hour from 12.30 to 1.30 pm. We have the stall until 3 pm.
We shall have hand-outs for children and adults and maybe even hot cross buns (we are meeting up next week to discuss exact details).
However St George’s church and St Michael’s have afternoon services and so they are limited to really manning the stall for the first part of the day. The Catholic church are no longer part of Sandhurst Churches Together and Kerith are moving premises to Farnborough.
We do not have a service in the afternoon and are therefore asking for volunteers to do a half hour to an hour each on the stall.
We have been told that we are not allowed to approach anyone and so it would really be handing out gifts to those who approach our stall and, if you are able to, pray with folk at the prayer station, or just be a kind face and have a chat to those who come to the stall.
If you are able to help at all, please let me know. We really want to embrace this opportunity of outreach at a Holy Time of year to those in our community.
Many thanks for your help.
