Harvest 2024
On the same weekend as our harvest Festival we organised a Messy Harvest afternoon aimed at introducing the youngsters to some of the crafts, games and stories associated with Harvest. The picture that you have seen attached to the communion table was outlined by me, and coloured in by some of the 14 children who attended the event. All the children enjoyed a light hearted busy afternoon of craft activities, singing and stories.
Following on from that we had an uplifting service led by Maggie Garton. The church was decorated with fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as more suitable cupboard items that we would be distributing to The Yateley Food Pantry and The Crowthorne and Sandhurst Food Bank. Both of these charities benefitted from your wonderful giving and would like to thank you for your generosity. We also had a number of flower baskets that some members of the congregation had put together for theĀ harvest service. Our thanks to all those who contributed.
This was followed by a glorious harvest lunch, with a quiz to test those seeking to remember many of the sweets, both past and present. Our thanks to Mike for that.
Altogether a glorious celebration of Harvest.
