Jerusalem Joy 2022 Palm Sunday – report

Last Sunday, 10th April, members of churches in Sandhurst and Crowthorne joined forces in a production of Roger Jones musical ‘Jerusalem Joy’. For those of you who are not familiar with it, it is a lively portrayal of the Easter Story. As a child described it a shappy story (sad and happy).

Seven churches and Crowthorne C of E school took part.

Our church was well represented with Douglas playing some of the role of Jesus, Mary, Sharon and Heather singing and me playing in the band. Others came to listen too.

Covid meant that participants, particularly in the band changed throughout the rehearsals but nevertheless the final performance was a joyful start to Easter Week.

Many thanks goes to Karen Phillips and the many others who made it happen.
