Services during Holy Week 2021

On Thursday this week there will be a Zoom service – a Maundy Thursday Love Feast
This is a Circuit service via Zoom hosted by CMC at 7pm but please join from 6.45pm for fellowship and bring a snack and a drink with you. Historically, the food eaten at a Love Feast was plain cake, with water to drink. We suggest maybe a hot cross bun and either water/tea/coffee. One of the traditional aspects of a Love Feast was the sharing of short testimonies which we’re planning on doing in breakout rooms during the service. Please think beforehand about your answers to these questions. (No one will be forced to speak but it would be good if some feel able to.)
• What has God been doing in your life this past year?
• Where have you found Him in your experience of lockdown?

Then on Good Friday David and Christine Morgan will be leading an online Good Friday service which can be found here https://sandhurstyateleymethodist.org.uk/blog/services/
Easter Sunday – is special in many ways. This year our service of celebration including Holy Communion will be held IN church at 10.30am.
This will be our first opportunity to be back in church since November. Please note that the Covid restrictions previously in place still apply, so you will need to wear a mask (unless medically exempt) and maintain social distancing. We are still not able to sing but we have come up with some ways to celebrate and praise without actually singing! There will also be an opportunity to decorate the cross with a flower before you enter church.
For those who are not able to be in church for the service, we hope to record it and that will be put up online early the following week.
Please do join us!
