Summer barbecue at the Manse August 2023
The barbeque for SYMC took place at The Manse on 26th August. it was lovely to see families and to catch up with guests from CMC.
A highlight of the afternoon was Sharon emerging from the kitchen with a candle-lit cake to celebrate recent birthdays of Margaret, Muriel and Sonia – a total of 283 years! Many congratulations to them.
There was delicious food provided by Sharon and Mike. A special mention must be made of the sausages beautifully cooked by Mike on the barbeque. Other lovely food was brought along by visitors.
We were also offered kimchi which brought back memories of my few months working in South Korea over 40 years ago!!
We were very lucky with the weather and managed to finish eating before showers arrived later on. Some of us then chatted inside, accompanied by further refreshments.
A big thank-you must go to Sharon and Mike for their wonderful hospitality and all that they did to make the event so enjoyable and such a big success.
