Visit to Hatchlands Park 2023

On 5th September, a group from SYMC visited Hatchlands Park, a National Trust estate east of Guildford.

Today the house is home to Alec Cobbe and includes his collection of keyboard instruments owned or played by famous composers such as Elgar, JC Bach and Chopin.

Before completing our tour, Mary played some pieces of music on a large chamger organ built in 1903. We (and other visitors) admired Mary’s beautiful playing, especially on an unfamiliar instrument.
