Yateley Choral Society November Concert
Yateley Choral Society (YCS) held their first major concert in 2 years on November 13th.
It was a celebration of being able to sing again and the first half had pieces from Mozart, Mendelssohn and Boyle.
However the highlights were 2 songs by the contemporary composers Sarah Quartel and Elaine Hagenberg plus Parry’s “Blessed Pair of Sirens”. The Quartel song was enjoyed so much the choir are singing one of her carols at their Carol Service on 13th December.
After the interval, Vivaldi’s Gloria rang out and sparked, lifting the spirits of the audience with the 2 guest soloists Ellen Lloyd Roberts and Rebecca Leggett in stunning form.
It was a great evening and showed that YCS were back!
