A Word in Time Bible study

Did you know that The Methodist Church runs daily bible study sessions that you can study in your own time?

Looking and listening for God in Scripture is one of the commitments of A Methodist Way of Life.

We hope you find A Word in Time supports you in recognising God in Scripture, and the world around you. Each week’s studies are written by volunteers across the Connexion (you can read the author’s biography after each study). They follow the lectionary of the Methodist Prayer Handbook. If you are interested in writing for A Word in Time, please email wit@methodistchurch.org.uk You may additionally be interested in our Prayer of the Day, also from the Methodist Prayer Handbook.

All Scripture quotations are from the New Revised Standard Version Bible: Anglicised Edition, copyright © 1989, 1995 the Division of Christian Education of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the United States of America. Used by permission. All rights reserved.

Each day a verse (or sometimes a few verses) is chosen.

Background information is given.

There are some questions to ponder, and a short prayer.

We are given some notes about the Bible notes author for that day/

And, if you want to, there is a discussion forum to join.
