Club 15 Christmas Dinner
Wow! What a great Christmas dinner for Club 15 this year!
22 of us descended on The Bird in Hand, Little Sandhurst for our annual supper including our new minister, Sharon and her husband Mike. This was a great way for us all to get to know them better and they us!
The food was delicious – very generous portions, and some interesting menu choices including little pots of pickled items to complement the ham hock terrine, mushrooms matched with Jerusalem artichokes in puff pastry – just two of the starters, followed by Christmas dinner or other amazing alternatives, for instance Sue Truby’s nut roast looked delicious but challenging size-wise but Sue polished it off easily! Then followed Christmas pudding, creme brulee, choux pastry with cream or cheese and biscuits.
An added delight during this feast was when St Michael’s Carol Singers turned up and sang to us all.
Thank you to Sue for organising the event, collecting our menu choices and settling the bill. Thank you to the Bird in Hand staff as well. It really was a great evening and so lovely for us all to catch up with our friends.
