Emergency Evacuation Practice (Fire Drill)

The first Fire Drill for years was carried out in August during a communion service lead by our Minister Rev Sharon Gardner.
The Stewards took responsibility for ensuring that everyone got out of the building safely and in their own good time. A head count was taken at the Fire Assembly point in the car park. Everyone reentered the church via the back hall to enjoy their coffee and biscuits and the blessing.
The drill was carried out as requested by the Superintendent to meet Methodist Church requirements.
Following the Fire Drill the stewards are now reviewing the Fire Evacuation Procedures and their duties in case of such an emergency.
